Staff accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $65,000 to $90,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll and backup payroll.
- Reconcile transactions and ensure accuracy of accounting data
- Prepare year- end audit support.
- Enter & apply customer payments into ERP system.
- Support daily and monthly cash accounting, bank reconciliation.
- Maintaining vendor W9; set up new vendors and creating vendor 1099s
- Assist with AP and AR.
Qualifications:
- Associates/Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 3+ years in accounting experience or similar role
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel) and accounting software's
- Experience in monthly and year-end closings, audits, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, taxation, and financial reporting preferred
- Good problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
