Job Details – PACU RN Per Diem

• Position: PACU Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Randall Manor, NY 10310 (Staten Island)
• Employment Type: Per Diem (W2)
• Schedule: Minimum 2 shifts per month (at least one shift bi-weekly)
• Hours per Week: 12 (varies by shift selection)
• Division: Acute Care Nursing
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 52 weeks
• On-Site Position
• Hourly Pay Rate: $109.74
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $880 - $930

PACU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU, post anesthesia care, or acute care nursing experience
• Current and valid BLS certification
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Flexibility to work per diem nursing shifts as needed

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Monitor patient vital signs and status, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
