Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• At least 1 year of experience in a Med/Surg, acute care, or related clinical nursing setting
• Ability to commit to at least 2 shifts per month (per diem nursing jobs)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Dedication to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and clinical progress
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management, discharge planning, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
