Job Description:

IT Specialist
Location: Fresh Meadows, NY
Organization: New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS)

In This Role, You Will:
  • Provide first- and second-level technical support to end users via phone, remote access, and in person.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals, and software applications.
    • Log, track, and manage incidents and service requests in ServiceNow, ensuring accurate documentation.
    • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning, hardware setup, and access permissions.
    • Perform hardware imaging, deployments, and routine maintenance to ensure devices are functioning optimally.
    • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
    • Deliver on-site IT support across NYCBS clinical and administrative locations.
    • Maintain knowledge base articles and contribute to ongoing improvements in IT processes and documentation.
  • Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
    • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications
    • Experience in healthcare IT or supporting clinical applications
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
We Require:
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, service desk, or help desk environments
    • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and basic networking
    • Working knowledge of Active Directory and foundational networking concepts
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
    • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50+ pounds
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between NYCBS sites
    • Availability for after-hours/on-call rotation and occasional weekend project work

  • Starting Salary: $32.75/hr
