TruckPro is on the lookout for a Heavy Duty Truck Diesel Mechanic to join our team In this role, you will be entrusted with repairing medium to heavy duty trucks along with various models of trailers, ensuring they meet customer and industry-standard specifications.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Carrying out repairs on customer vehicles and trailers
  • Performing basic welding tasks as needed
  • Communicating with customers and management regarding job progress and potential changes
  • Monitoring job profitability and quality to reduce warranty claims
  • Submitting work orders for invoicing
  • Managing inventory and supplies
  • Preparing lists for replacement parts
  • Maintaining a clean work area and adhering to health and safety standards

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in diesel mechanics within the heavy-duty industry
  • Safety Inspector License (Virginia) or willingness to obtain at our expense
  • Automotive Service Excellence certification or equivalent
  • Own tools or willingness to purchase necessary tools as you grow (tool purchase and reimbursement program available)
  • Ability to lift parts up to 50+ lbs
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • CDL or willingness to obtain at company expense

Physical Requirements:

  • This role is physically demanding
  • Regularly lift, pull, and stock heavy truck parts (often exceeding 50+ lbs) with assistive devices
  • Stand for extended periods and operate forklifts
  • Engage in frequent activities such as walking, bending, twisting, and climbing
  • Utilize a computer during daily tasks

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to typical indoor and outdoor conditions including dirt, dust, noise, and temperature variations
  • Potential hazards associated with a maintenance and retail environment, requiring adherence to safety protocols
