Heavy Truck Diesel Technician

Key Responsibilities for the Diesel Technician:

• Repair customer vehicles and trailers efficiently
• Execute basic welding tasks as needed
• Keep customer and management informed about completion timelines, service costs, and potential changes
• Monitor job profitability while adhering to quality standards, minimizing warranty claims and rework
• Complete work orders for billing purposes
• Manage inventory and supplies responsibly
• Create lists of necessary replacement parts
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area and ensure proper equipment upkeep; comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• At least two years of diesel mechanic experience, specifically with heavy-duty vehicles
• A Safety Inspector License (for Virginia) or a willingness to obtain this at the company's expense
• Automotive Service Excellence certification aligned with the position or equivalent credentials
• Personal tools for the job or readiness to purchase necessary tools as skills and responsibilities grow (TruckPro provides a tool purchase/reimbursement program)
• The capability to lift parts weighing over 50 lbs
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• A CDL or a willingness to acquire one at the company's expense
