Job Description

This respected litigation law firm is looking for a Client Billing Specialist to join its dynamic Finance Department in the Boston office. In this key position, you will act as the main point of contact for billing attorneys and clients, overseeing the entire monthly pro forma billing cycle. Responsibilities include preparing and revising proformas, ensuring adherence to client billing requirements, submitting invoices via electronic billing systems, and managing accounts receivable follow-ups.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with attorneys to manage the monthly proforma process, including selecting and editing proformas
  • Ensure all billing complies with client guidelines
  • Finalize and submit invoices through electronic billing platforms
  • Respond to billing inquiries and resolve issues promptly
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable
  • Serve as the primary contact for billing matters, maintaining strong relationships with clients and attorneys
  • Engage in a mix of collaboration, problem-solving, and independent work
  • Contribute as a key member of the Finance team, supporting the firm's ongoing success
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of billing experience, preferably in a law firm environment
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Experience with electronic invoice submission platforms
  • Knowledge of Elite 3E billing software is preferred
  • Familiarity with client billing guidelines and billing software
