About Droplet Sales
Sales is the lifeblood of Droplet. Our CEO comes from a sales background, our first-ever hire was in sales, our Salesforce CRM is actually well designed, and we view every function of the company as a function of sales. Since our founding in 2020, sales has grown our client base to hundreds of customers across 30+ states. In the K12 space, we now support 250+ districts that represent more than 4M students nationwide There are still 13,000 school districts to go capture, and that's where you come in.
We're on the lookout to add a rockstar sales professional to the small but mighty K12 sales team to further accelerate our growing pipeline. Droplet has been laying the foundation for 5+ years and has just crossed the STARTING LINE of our race to rapid growth
The Job
This is a hybrid role based near our Lehi, UT office. Team members work onsite 4 days each week for collaboration, training sessions, and connection time. The Account Executive (AE) role is dedicated solely to driving new business and generating revenue for the company. With a designated US territory and clear targets, you'll have the autonomy to own your success. Core Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEO and sales team to achieve sales and growth targets
- Own the sales efforts for a territory of US school districts and education agencies
- Source contact information from websites using a range of sales enablement tools
- Ol' fashioned cold-calling to source potential clients
- Manage cold email campaigns and draft personalized emails to target accounts
- Schedule discovery calls and demos
- Demo product, communicate value props, and overcome objections
- Build relationships and guide clients through the entire sales process: from discovery to close
- Contribute to processes and playbooks for future sales hires
- Track activities and maintain an accurate pipeline in our CRM
- 1-2+ years of K12 AE work experience (selling to IT and/or finance personas preferred)
- Office-based work in Kiln Lehi, minimum 4 days/week
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
- Highly motivated, results-driven, desire to be the best
- Proficient in enterprise prospecting - cold calling & cold emailing
- Effective at identifying customer needs and aligning with our value proposition
- Strong organizational skills with relationships & opportunity management
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to travel 10-15% of the year for sales on-site visits and trade shows
- Experience with our sales tech stack: Salesforce & Outreach
- Experience with our company tech stack: Apple MacBook (provided), Slack, G Suite
- Experience managing a K12 territory across one or more US states (tell us which states)
- Experience demoing technical, enterprise products
$80,000-$150,000 USD
