We are currently seeking a Director, Business Development, who will function as an experienced sales executive to grow our California practice.

The ideal candidate will work together with Partners and other professionals to identify appropriate target companies; build relationships with qualified C-Level and other decision makers; create and uncover opportunities; coordinate the sales pursuit process; and act as a key advisor and participant throughout the sales cycle. Building and maintaining a strong network of channel partners, referral sources and centers of influence including business intermediaries and service providers in the commercial and alternative investment space will be of key importance for this position.

What work you will be responsible for:
  • Develop and maintain prospect lists for existing and new clients
  • Develop and execute direct sales programs, set and manage prospect meetings, assist team in preparing for sales calls including appropriate meeting materials, and ensure follow up activities to build successful relationships
  • Coordinate relationship building activities with appropriate Partners, engagement managers, subject-matter professionals, and other EisnerAmper personnel on the engagement team(s) in an effort to help ensure they are well advised on important matters
  • As appropriate, participate in proposal development, focusing on the EisnerAmper value proposition, key differentiators, and win themes
  • Use various research tools to target companies and prepare sales teams for meetings
  • Use CRM to track prospect activity and status for pipeline status report
  • Coordinate with marketing team re: institutional marketing to support relationship building
  • Meet specific business relationship goals at assigned accounts and report and measure progress against quarterly goals
Success Metrics:
  • Increase fee revenue
  • Increase volume of qualified opportunities and prospect meetings
  • Lead efforts for a more effective, disciplined sales process in California
  • Maintain and coordinate referral relationships and track direct referrals from this network
Basic qualifications:
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience selling professional solutions and services
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Business or a related field
  • Prior experience working in a professional services organization
Additional preferred qualifications:
  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of trust, confidence, and results
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, initiating, and nurturing new or on-going business opportunities
  • Able to understand complex content and relate content around industry issues, client needs, and EisnerAmper service offerings
  • Implement programs to educate client service professionals regarding our capabilities and new offerings to promote internal referrals
  • Ability to travel regionally and/or nationally, 20% or more
