Description
  • Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages by employing standardized assessment tools and observational methods.
  • Craft tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, articulation, fluency, vocal skills, and safe swallowing.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team-including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members-to design holistic care approaches.
  • Provide ongoing education to patients and their families to support therapeutic progress outside of the therapy room.
  • Occasionally assess and intervene for inpatient rehabilitation, ensuring the continuum of care for each patient.
  • Maintain comprehensive and compliant documentation in accordance with relevant standards and best practices.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through education and peer collaboration to stay ahead in the field.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications
  • Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire is mandatory.
