Description
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing established assessments and observational strategies.
  • Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing enhancement.
  • Deliver focused speech therapy interventions championing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
  • Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to forge comprehensive care plans.
  • Provide education and resources for patients and their families, supporting lasting progress beyond sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring patients experience seamless care along their healing journey.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay abreast of advancements within the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Education
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification by ASHA has yet to be achieved.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 30 days of employment.

  • Expertise in evidence-driven therapeutic approaches, with a deep understanding of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities, fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
