Job Duties
- Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing a combination of standardized tests and observational methodologies.
- Create tailored treatment strategies that address immediate objectives, while also supporting long-term communication and cognitive needs.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on areas such as communication, linguistic development, fluency, and swallowing issues.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and healthcare providers, to ensure seamless care for your patients.
- Engage patients and their families with informative resources and education, empowering them to enhance progress outside of clinical environments.
- Participate in inpatient therapy as needed, contributing to a holistic patient care journey.
- Maintain thorough documentation per state, federal, and organizational requirements, ensuring compliance with all guidelines.
- Continuously update your skills and knowledge through professional development and collaborative learning opportunities.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
- Proficient in implementing evidence-based interventions for various speech and language disorders across all age demographics.
- Exceptional communication abilities, fostering strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Capable of modifying therapeutic approaches to address distinct cultural and linguistic requirements.
- Keen problem-solving skills and clinical judgment are imperative.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
