We are looking for an experienced Billing Specialist with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client services. At Taft, we embrace a "Client First" philosophy, ensuring that all our team members work towards providing the best for our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Generate and edit client pre-bills with accuracy.
- Ensure timely distribution of final bills.
- Process write-offs and write-downs, securing necessary approvals.
- Maintain the integrity of our billing system information.
- Respond professionally to inquiries from attorneys regarding bills and billing processes.
- Adhere strictly to our established billing cycle and cut-off dates.
- Ensure compliance with Taft's billing policies and procedures.
- Organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Conduct basic financial analysis, including reviews of client billing histories.
Requirements:
- An Associate's degree in accounting or business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of one year of general accounting or legal billing experience is essential.
- Experience with specialized accounting or billing software is highly preferred.
- Legal billing experience, including electronic billing, is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration with attorneys and staff.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, particularly Excel.
- A keen numeric aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
At Taft, we offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, flexible spending, 401K, paid time off, paid holidays, bonuses, and more. The salary range for this position is $32.97/hr. to $41.21/hr., and pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and relevant education.
