Exciting Opportunity:

$10,000 SIGN-ON Bonus available for eligible candidates relocating a distance, plus an additional $2,000 SIGN-ON Bonus for PM shifts

As part of our outstanding Operating Room team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, the largest hospital in Wisconsin with 24/7 on-site heart-care teams, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional surgical care to our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient environment for optimal patient care by utilizing aseptic surgical techniques in preparation for surgical procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of various procedures and perform all types of cases as necessary.
  • Set up the operating room, moving equipment as needed, and ensuring everything is in optimal condition.
  • Assist as a Second Assistant and report any equipment or supply issues.
  • Transport patients and manage equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain specialty carts, ensuring equipment sterility and functionality.
  • Understand patient care needs across all age groups.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association within 6 months.
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.
  • No prior experience necessary—we welcome new graduates

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing education and annual certification maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Physical demands include lifting, pushing, pulling, and transferring patients.
  • Exposure to various hazards including chemical and biological as part of surgical duties.
