Our Senior ServiceNow Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and customizing ServiceNow applications and solutions to meet business requirements. This developer will write and maintain scripts, create workflows, and configure ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, IRM, SecOps, and SPM. They work closely with business analysts and other technical teams to ensure that the platform integrates smoothly with existing systems and processes. Additionally, this Sr. ServiceNow Developer performs tests, debugs, and ensures the platform's functionality aligns with user needs and organizational goals.Salary Range
$115,000 ~ $130,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may fall outside of this range.
Hybrid Work
Our first consideration will be to have this new employee live in the state of Wisconsin to take advantage of Hybrid work and collaboration. Employees living within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI) will be expected to be able to work Hybrid 3 days a week on a regular basis.

- Can develop, customize, and deploy ServiceNow applications, modules, and features based on business requirements.
- Enjoy writing and maintaining business rules, UI policies, UI actions, client scripts, and scripted REST APIs.
- Have configured ServiceNow functionality (forms, workflows, dashboards) and automated business processes through service catalog items.
- Have integrated ServiceNow with third-party systems using APIs (REST, SOAP) and middleware tools.
- Can conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and performance.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation for codes, configurations, and customizations.
- Have monitored system performance and implemented optimizations for efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Like to ensure ServiceNow instances comply with best practices for security and maintainability.
- Would thrive serving as subject matter expert, assisting with platform upgrades and providing ongoing support and maintenance for ServiceNow applications post-deployment.
Minimum Qualifications
- US. citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 or more years of experience as a ServiceNow developer and/or ServiceNow System Administrator.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of various modules including ITSM, ITOM, IRM, SecOps, and SPM and custom applications; with demonstrated experience developing, configuring, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions.
- Proficient in JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI Actions for custom development and integrations.
- Demonstrated experience integrating ServiceNow using REST, SOAP, and other web services; capable of configuring and maintaining integrations.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in ServiceNow applications and platform configurations.
- Familiarity with Agile environments, using tools like Jira, ADO, ServiceNow for managing user stories, sprints, and deliverables to ensure timely software delivery.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7 or more years of experience in software development roles.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; Certified Application Developer (CAD) or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM, ITOM, IRM, SecOps, or WSD).
