Front Desk Coordinator - Pediatrics | Sarasota, FL

Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | $18-$20 per hour

Temporary Position with a Pediatric Practice near Beautiful Downtown Sarasota

Nextaff is hiring a Front Desk Coordinator to support a busy and reputable pediatrics practice located near downtown Sarasota, FL. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday opportunity offering competitive weekly pay, a professional and welcoming work environment, and the chance to be an important part of the patient experience. This is a temporary assignment with a length of 4 weeks, with the potential to be extended.

About the Role

As the Front Desk Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families. You'll manage front office operations, support providers, and ensure smooth daily workflow. This role requires professionalism, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and screen high-volume telephone calls courteously; record messages for providers and staff
  • Schedule patient appointments and procedures according to established policies
  • Check patients in and out, ensuring registration forms are complete
  • Collect insurance information, verify coverage, and reconcile charges daily
  • Prepare and scan documents into the EMR; maintain accurate patient charts
  • Perform data entry, monthly reporting, and follow up on outstanding patient needs
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and efficient office operations
  • Support supply inventory, filing, transcription, and other administrative duties as needed
  • Adapt to changing priorities and maintain excellent written and verbal communication
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical office, front office, or scheduling role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate standard office and medical office equipment
  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn office technology quickly
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of pediatric office procedures and workflows
  • Experience using EMR applications (eClinicalWorks preferred)
  • Ability to calculate and reconcile basic financial figures accurately
  • Professional, courteous, and adaptable demeanor
