Qualifications:

To be considered, you should have completed a Cardiac Sonography program and hold ARDMS or CCI certification in adult and pediatric echo sonography, or possess 4 years of relevant experience in the cardiac sonography field.

Job Summary:

You will perform diagnostic procedures essential for assessing cardiac structures and hemodynamics, adhering to professional protocols. If your role involves both adult and pediatric echocardiography, certifications in both areas are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic procedures and accurately report results.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout all tests.
  • Maintain equipment and verify it is in proper working condition.
  • Position patients and accurately select anatomical and technical parameters.
  • Comply with all regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensure high-quality submission of all images and related documents to PACS.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the department.
  • Stay alert and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Educational Requirements:

  • Completion of a Sonography program.

Experience:

  • No prior experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Utilize vision and hearing to communicate effectively and monitor equipment.
  • Occasional physical activities such as bending and pushing/pulling

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP)
  • And one of the following:
  • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS)
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric or Adult Echocardiography Specialty
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
