Position Summary: As a Cardiac Echo Specialist, you will perform essential diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, adhering to established protocols. This role may require certifications in both adult and pediatric echocardiography depending on your area of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct appropriate diagnostic procedures, accurately record, and promptly report patient test results.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety, alerting physicians to any abnormalities or changes in responses.
  • Maintain necessary supplies, ensuring all equipment is functional and report deficiencies.
  • Position patients correctly, selecting precise anatomic and technical parameters.
  • Comply with regulatory standards in all activities.
  • Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS, ensuring correct lead markers and patient data/history.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized department including procedure rooms and storage areas.
  • Work with focus and alertness, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Completed an Echosonography program.
  • No prior experience required.

Physical Demands:

  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent visual and auditory tasks for patient care.
  • Regular patient lifting/moving during procedures.
  • Ability to operate equipment and perform data entry as required.

Certifications Needed:

  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association.
  • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with appropriate specialties.
