Job Title: Technician

Job Description

This role involves handling hazardous materials safely, operating fork trucks, packaging finished goods, and maintaining accurate batch documentation in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely handle hazardous materials such as flammable, corrosive, and toxic substances.

  • Operate fork trucks while understanding potential hazards like puncturing drums/totes, tipping loads, and ensuring pedestrian safety.

  • Package finished goods and intermediates into drums, totes, or pails.

  • Load and unload drums and containers from truck trailers.

  • Clean filters, connect and move hoses, and operate pumps and meters.

  • Maintain proper and accurate batch documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing processes.

  • Safety-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and move barrels.

  • Experience in machine operation and forklift use.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfortable with multitasking in a chemical manufacturing plant.

  • Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently.

The work takes place in a chemical manufacturing plant where there is a semi-strong smell similar to fresh paint. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and involves physical tasks such as heavy lifting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vernon, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
