Laboratory Animal Care Technician

This role cares for animals and helps maintain a clean, safe, and highly regulated environment.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:30 PMRotation: Weekend & holiday rotationPay: Starting at $19/hourBenefits: Full benefits within 30 days of hireOpportunities for overtime paid at 1.5x rate.What You'll Be Doing:Feed and care for animals dailyClean and sanitize enclosures and work areasMonitor animal health and behaviorFollow detailed instructions and maintain accurate recordsKeep accurate records of feeding, cleaning, and care of animalsSupport order prep, facility upkeep, and team-based tasksFollow protocol to ensure the health and welfare of the animals in careMaintain responsibility for sanitation of the animal buildings, cages and support areasWhat We're Looking For:Comfortable in fast-paced, physical workDependable with strong attention to detailTeam player with a positive, proactive attitudeOrganized, clean, and safety-mindedPrior experience in warehouse, production, sanitation, or farm work is a big plusQualifications:Education and experienceHigh School Diploma or GED18 years of age or older Skills and AbilitiesGood organizational skills with strong attention to detail.Familiarity with basic computer application such as MS Office products, including email.Ability to learn techniques used in the laboratory.Ability to handle laboratory instruments and tools.Ability to handle animals and related equipment as required.Exhibit a quality approach to work, detail oriented, and demonstrate the ability to follow written instructions and work with limited or no supervision.Ability to understand appropriate regulations and demonstrate the ability to apply these practices daily.Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment and work independently when needed.*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.
