Location: SSM Health Outpatient Center-Madison

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 paid in full on the first paycheck for qualified external candidates

Schedule: Part-time, 28 hours per week, 4 days from 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM

Pay Range: Starting at $37.60/hour with daily pay options available

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and adjust ultrasound equipment while manually positioning transducers for exams.
  • Follow safety standards and conduct quality control protocols.
  • Perform routine and complex ultrasound studies; assist in various imaging procedures.
  • Identify important structures, artifacts, and potential equipment issues.
  • Ensure equipment functionality and report any malfunctions promptly.
  • Submit high-quality images and documentation to PACS accurately and on time.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work environment, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
  • Adhere to compliance regulations and safety standards.
  • Remain alert and maintain a safe work atmosphere.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Completion of a Sonography program is required.
  • No previous experience is necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly stand and walk; frequent vision use for close and distant tasks.
  • Regular communication involving hearing and speaking.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of patients and equipment, with weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Engage in various physical movements including bending and reaching.

Required Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) or OB/GYN Specialty, or
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
