Your Role:

  • Maintain a clean, safe environment to optimize patient care.
  • Employ aseptic surgical techniques in preparation for procedures.
  • Manage equipment and set up the operating room.
  • Assist during surgeries as a Second Assistant when necessary.
  • Notify staff of equipment and supply issues.
  • Transport patients and manage patient positioning.
  • Ensure the completeness and sterility of specialty carts or items.
  • Keep the operating room ready for various procedures.
  • Understand and meet the age-specific needs of patients.

Key Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire is required.
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • No previous experience required.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques and operating room equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull with 30 lbs. of force.
  • Frequent movement including lifting, standing, walking, and bending is necessary.
  • Exposure to potential hazards such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, and biological.
