Our Regional Sales Director will play a vital role in expanding our reach and impact by cultivating meaningful relationships with key stakeholders in the workers' compensation industry. This role is rooted in building trust, creating opportunities, and being a champion for our Case Managers and clients.

This role is not just about selling; it's about making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Operate daily as an Outside Sales Representative, engaging with clients and prospects in the field to build relationships and generate referrals.
  • Independently identify and cultivate strategic relationships with large deductible/self-insured employers, third-party administrators, brokers, defense attorneys, and adjusters.
  • Manage an individual marketing budget, making strategic decisions on resource allocation for conferences, client engagement, and promotional activities.
  • Prospect and develop new client relationships through industry conferences, cold outreach, and leveraging existing networks.
  • Communicate VONA's mission and value through compelling verbal and written communication with claims handlers, managers, and risk professionals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients-entering referrals, updating account guidelines, managing rates, scheduling meetings, and addressing client needs.
  • Maintain and manage a calendar of industry conferences in assigned territories, coordinating travel, booth logistics, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure timely and professional responses to all internal and external communications.
  • Build strong relationships with VONA case managers, advocating for their autonomy and success while ensuring alignment with client needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership to address client concerns, team dynamics, or new opportunities.
  • Represent and grow the VONA brand with integrity, honesty, and exceptional service in every interaction.
  • Set and pursue measurable goals for referral and revenue growth, adjusting strategies as needed to maximize results.
  • Conduct oneself with professionalism and respect in all business dealings.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the workers' compensation or healthcare industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust across diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage strategic business functions.
  • Familiarity with the workers' compensation ecosystem, including TPAs, brokers, employers, and legal professionals.
  • Experience attending and coordinating industry events and conferences.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and passionate about making a difference.
  • Multilingual proficiency is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
