Are you ready to make an immediate impact in a thriving environment? We are a small, high-growth industrial coatings manufacturer backed by private equity, looking for an enthusiastic Regional Sales Director to shape our sales strategy. In this newly created role, you will enjoy uncapped earning potential with a generous commission structure, allowing you to be rewarded for your contributions from day one.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Focus on hunting and closing new business opportunities by leveraging your established relationships to deliver tailored solutions across multiple market segments.
  • Once onboarded, manage and mentor our small sales team, helping them transition from account management to proactive hunting, while optimizing their productivity.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies aimed at nurturing long-term relationships and responding rapidly to active buyers.
  • Oversee relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and growth, collaborating on custom formulations and competitive positioning.
  • Utilize CRM tools to strategically track prospects, analyze pipeline performance, and make data-driven decisions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a relevant field is preferred; however, demonstrated success in industrial coatings sales is crucial.
  • A proven track record in direct sales within the industrial coatings sector and a solid network of established relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of custom coatings applications such as 2K epoxies and low-VOC products, with a grasp of sales cycles and competitive landscape.
  • Strong skills in strategy development, pipeline management, and balancing direct sales efforts with leadership responsibilities over sizable territories.
  • Experience as a player-coach is helpful but not required.
  • A commitment to using CRM tools for strategic insights; implementation experience is a plus.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with high energy, resilience, and excitement about mentoring and contributing to a collaborative culture.
  • Must be based in the Southwest/Texas (excluding California) or Central/East regions and willing to travel regularly to our headquarters in DFW and customer locations. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.
