Unlike any other primary care providers, we are rapidly expanding and in need of exceptional talent to join us.

The Clinical Director will oversee and mentor primary care providers (PCPs) in the designated center, taking charge of maximizing core model execution. This includes enhancing clinical quality, efficiency, outcomes, and clinician/patient satisfaction. You will also engage in direct patient care, alongside leadership responsibilities focused on PCP performance, engagement, and fostering a robust clinical-operations culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, particularly older adults.
  • Take full accountability for patient outcomes while collaborating with specialists as necessary.
  • Engage with hospitalists for patients admitted to hospitals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose, manage, and coordinate care for complex health needs.
  • Lead a care team involving medical assistants, care facilitators, and coordinators.
  • Support patients unable to visit the office by coordinating with various care teams as needed.
  • Facilitate weekly Super Huddles and Transforming Care Meetings, and support center leadership as required.
  • Assist in recruiting patients and interviewing prospective providers for our growing team.
  • Mentor and coach PCPs to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Center Operations Director/Market General Manager to enhance financial performance and membership.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
  • Current and active medical licensure in the state of employment.
  • Preferably, a minimum of 1-year clinical experience in a geriatric, adult, or family practice setting.
  • Completion of ChenMed-specific training is essential to your development.
  • Board certification in your specialty is preferred; Board eligibility is required.
  • Maintain your board certification through required maintenance of certification (MOC) and continuing medical education (CME).
  • Possess a current DEA number for controlled substances.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross to be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
