Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough patient evaluations, order relevant diagnostic tests, and develop personalized care strategies
  • Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, or episodic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently, depending upon your credentials
  • Educate patients and their families on preventative care, healthy living, and ongoing disease management
  • Prescribe necessary medications and treatments within the established scope of practice
  • Engage in patient follow-up and management of chronic conditions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
  • Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records (EMR)
Education Credentials
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Necessary Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Iowa
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure within 90 days)
