Your Role and Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough patient assessments, ordering diagnostic tests, and crafting individualized care strategies
- Diagnosing and treating both acute and chronic conditions, either independently or in collaboration with other physicians (depending on your credentials)
- Educating patients and their families about preventive care, wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribing medication and therapies in line with established practice guidelines
- Following up with patients for ongoing care and managing chronic conditions
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and holistic patient care
- Accurately documenting all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Iowa
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical competencies coupled with an empathetic bedside approach
- Remarkable communication abilities that resonate with patients, families, and colleagues alike

- Proficient in using EMR systems and comfortable with telehealth technologies
