CGP: Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $50.00 to $57.00 per hour.
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and budgets for management review.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization or process improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure operational efficiency and professional growth
Requirements:
- Must have experience managing a team within an accounting function.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effectively presenting financial information.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, Acumatica software, in addition to advanced Excel skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
