What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct routine and complex clinical lab tests-including chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-adhering to established protocols.
- Scrutinize results for precision, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and perform regular maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
- Support specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as necessary.
- Document all lab procedures meticulously, serve as a mentor to new staff or interns, and uphold the highest quality standards within the lab.
- Champion a clean, safe lab environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree alongside ASCP/AMT certification readiness.
- ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) is required within one year of employment.
- Maintain your certification throughout your tenure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork within health service environments.
- Ability to make independent decisions and solve problems, especially when under pressure.
