Description - What You'll Do
- Conduct both routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests-ranging from chemistry to hematology and immunology-adhering to established protocols.
- Interpret results for accuracy, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and perform essential maintenance and calibration on lab equipment.
- Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for accurate testing as necessary.
- Document all processes meticulously, offer training to new staff or students, and maintain lab quality standards.
- Ensure a tidy, secure workspace while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, with preparations for ASCP/AMT certification.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) is required within a year of hire.
- Ongoing maintenance of current certification throughout employment is necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams.
