Responsibilities

• Drafting litigation documents such as petitions, motions, notices, and designations
• Maintaining and updating case information in our case management system
• Calendaring and tracking deadlines to ensure full compliance
• Assisting with Minor Settlements and Friendly Suits
• Coordinating and reviewing medical and billing records
• Communicating with clients regarding case status, settlement options, and discovery (under attorney direction)
• Preparing attorneys for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
• Conducting legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, Texas SOS, Public Data, and other tools
• Drafting service-ready discovery responses for attorney review
• E-filing in state and federal courts
• Performing lien searches and assisting with settlement and disbursement documents
• Supporting clients with discovery review, deposition preparation, and overall case management

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Moderate to heavy Plaintiff Personal Injury litigation experience (auto/truck accidents preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Experience with case management software (Litify or similar)

Preferred (But Not Required)
• Paralegal Certification
• Federal court experience and e-filing
• Notary Public
• Fluent in Spanish
