Accounting Manager

Search Solution Group is seeking an Accounting Manager on behalf of our client, a curated market for field-tested, expert-graded photo and video equipment. The company is passionate about making photography and videography accessible and sustainable by buying and selling high-quality pre-owned camera gear. The Accounting Manager plays a critical role in overseeing account relationships, driving operational excellence across multiple sales channels, and supporting a seamless customer experience while leading a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Management & Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional support.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through proactive communication.
- Understand each account's goals, needs, and challenges and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct regular business reviews to identify risks, opportunities, and engagement strategies.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve customer issues or escalations efficiently.
- Support promotional activities, product launches, and service changes as needed.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate product availability and communicate changes to customers.
- Provide reporting and insights related to account activity, customer engagement, and revenue trends.
- Oversee two associates, ensuring balanced workloads and strong customer service performance.
- Provide coaching, training, and ongoing performance feedback.
- Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on customer satisfaction.
- Partner with sales, operations, marketing, and customer service teams to support omni-channel initiatives.
- Coordinate with inventory and operations teams regarding product availability, delivery timelines, and service commitments.
- Work with finance and operations teams to support accurate customer billing, returns, and payment reconciliation.
- Produce recurring and ad hoc reporting on customer trends, account performance, and engagement metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and partner with leadership to enhance workflows and customer experience.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience managing key accounts or working in an account management or client-facing operations role.
- Experience supervising or leading a team is a plus.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or multi-channel operations is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-first mindset.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- None required; relevant accounting or business certifications are a plus.
- Understanding of account management processes within an omni-channel environment.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, NetSuite, or inventory management tools is not required but highly preferred.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective leadership and the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Cross-functional collaboration and communication.
- Ability to work independently while remaining aligned with organizational goals.
