Assistant Project Manager

Seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual to step into an Assistant Project Manager role for an ongoing water meter replacement, installation, and maintenance project. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in construction or utilities to grow into a project management position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee water meter installation and maintenance projects.
  • Coordinate routine maintenance for new builds and larger-scale valve and pipe replacement projects.
  • Collaborate with clients and field crews.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and support foremen and crews.
  • Manage emergency repair scheduling and response.
  • Utilize PlanSwift and internal project management software for planning and tracking.
  • Maintain communication with internal stakeholders and representatives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualifications: 13 years of experience in construction, utilities, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of water main or water distribution systems preferred (not required).
  • Engineering or construction background is ideal.
  • Flexible schedule availability to accommodate emergency repairs.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Experience Level: Intermediate Level

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $28.84 - $36.05/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
