Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the need for respiratory therapy.
  • Administer various respiratory care therapies such as oxygen and aerosol medications.
  • Support the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients closely and respond promptly to any complications.
  • Assist in the safe transportation of patients requiring ventilator support.
  • Act quickly in emergency situations to maintain airway integrity and ventilation.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of starting.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • NBRC-RRT certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
