Every team member plays a crucial role in enhancing our patients' lives. We are looking for a dedicated Certified Respiratory Care Specialist to join our collaborative team.
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Respiratory Care Specialist will facilitate exceptional, patient-focused respiratory care in alignment with departmental requirements and established practice standards. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will engage in various diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures while monitoring patients on both invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including evaluating breath sounds and airway integrity.
- Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery and aerosol medication.
- Assist in the placement of artificial airways and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patients for any therapeutic responses, intervening appropriately when necessary.
- Safely transport patients who depend on ventilation.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, ensuring airway management and ventilation during crises.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- National Board for Respiratory Care Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT).
- State certification as a Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.
- Associate Degree in a relevant field.
