Your Role in the Lab
- Conduct routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests-including disciplines such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-following established guidelines.
- Evaluate test results for precision, solve discrepancies, and execute preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
- Provide assistance with sample collection and prep them for analysis as necessary.
- Thoroughly document all processes, help train new team members or students, and actively contribute to maintaining laboratory quality standards.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment while complying with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree, accompanied by preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- ASCP or AMT certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of employment.
- Maintain current certification throughout your employment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within healthcare teams.
