Position Overview:

Our growthhas created the need for a Tooling and Consumables Supervisor  toplay a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations. This position offers theopportunity to make significant contributions to our daily productionactivities In this role you will lead and mentor a diverse team of techniciansthat will support production functions in the manufacturing of state-of-the-artLocomotives, Coach cars, and Light Rail vehicles.

We're insearch of an individual with a robust track record in tool crib managementwithin the dynamic landscape of manufacturing or industrial settings. Theperfect candidate will possess extensive expertise in inventory management,maintenance supervision, and the streamlining of tool utilization andprocesses.

What yourday may look like:

Leadwith a commitment to absolute safety and health for all employees. Optimizethe tool room workflows and plan resources for factory wide tooling andmanufacturing gases by reviewing historical use and forecasting future volumesand budget. Implementtracking for physical tool crib inventory and manage cost center spending by costcenter including cycle counting for inventory and removing obsolete tools usingan inventory management software. Handle up to 3,000 unique tools and maintain a detailed calibration log forprecision. Innovatein-house calibration processes to reduce expenses and coordinate factory widemass calibration of factory wide tools such as welding machines, torquewrenches, crimpers, and etc. Coordinate with vendors for on site for services including ordering, receiving,and delivering consumables in various locations of the facility. Adjust team size as needed and ensure clear internal communication. Build apositive work culture and fosters team development. Facilitate positivecommunication within the tool crib department and across all collaboratingdepartments. Conduct bi-annual performance reviews including planning, monitoring, anddocumenting the training & development of Tool Crib technicians. Oversee asignificant budget with a focus on cost reduction. Guideprojects strategically, mitigating risks, and meeting production timelines.

To thrivein this role, you'll have:

Bachelor'sdegree in Business, Operations, or Engineering. Proventool room experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. 5+years of experience managing a team within industrial operations. 3+years of experience in OEM capital equipment assembly operations within aschedule-driven, moderate-volume, and diverse product mix, engineer-to-orderproject environment. Proficientin Excel (including Pivot Tables and Macros), SAP, SharePoint, and Power BI. Excellentcommunication skills.

The payrange for this position is $79,400-107,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher dependingon budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, andpremium geographic location.
