Overview The Director of Product Management will oversee the assigned multi-product portfolio and will be responsible for the execution of the overall product portfolio roadmap and business plan. This includes an understanding of the investment strategy for the line of business and maintaining that strategy. This role will work closely with other leaders to understand needs from engineering, marketing, sales, success and operations in order to ensure the financial, sales and customer retention goals are met. The Director will guide and execute the Product Strategy by building a department of strong individuals and processes to fulfill the responsibilities necessary for success. Duties & Responsibilities Ensure the company’s overall strategy and goals are supported by the product mix and the product priorities, and that the organization does not deviate from the set goals Create and align the portfolio product roadmaps with the company’s overall go-to-market and product strategies Attract, develop and lead a team of Product Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts and guide the team in making strategic product decisions based on sound research  Utilize symplr-defined processes and tested frameworks like Pragmatic Marketing and Stage-Gate to guide product development efforts Work across the entire organization as needed to ensure commitments are fulfilled timely and the business unit is prepared for software launches Have a communication plan to easily and transparently report progress on the roadmap, priorities, issues, and launch activity to all internal stakeholders Be the ‘voice of the customer’ for outside stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met  Partner with product marketing to create and facilitate customer advisory board meetings and support product managers with the creation of customer collaboration boards Follow the PDLC framework for new product development efforts, product enhancements, and end of life planning; includes playing a leading role in a cross-departmental Product Council  Manage product end-of-life decisions and take steps to shut down those applications Look for opportunities to improve quality across our product portfolio including application development, implementations, and maintenance activities Track the overall product management budget  Write business cases for new product development efforts and/or partnerships to enhance product’s competitive position and/or support sales opportunities  Write funding proposals for additional development resources Identify, investigate, and report key metrics driving product success Skills Required Ability to foster positivity in a team environment, demonstrating excellent teamwork, coaching and leadership skills Excellent time management skills, resource organization and priority establishment skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to effectively interface and communicate, both written and verbal, with all levels inside and outside the company, including senior management Strong attention to detail and organized Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with diplomacy and tact while managing a large group of stakeholders, including when responding to resistance  Qualifications Required: Every organization has a culture, whether they mean to or not, so why not be intentional about it?​ Together, if we shape our intentions, actions, and interactions around a common, purposeful culture, we are able to quickly achieve more, attract others who help realize our goals, and thrive in our professional relationships. Bachelor’s degree  8+ years’ experience in Product Management or Product Strategy leadership position 5+ years’ experience in developing people and managing high performing teams Proven experience leading a Product Management team Experience bringing new software products to market  Curiosity and creativity Experience in management of a roadmap and tracking overall strategic direction Healthcare industry knowledge Min USD $130,000.00/Yr.
