Because of their continued growth, a General Contractor in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction Ground-up to join their team. The Project Engineer manages the work in a manner consistent with standards of quality and integrity and will participate in the marketing, estimating, bidding, and contract negotiation phases of the projects assigned. Assistant Project Manager QUALIFICATIONS:4 Year Degree in Construction Management or Similar OR with relevant experience as Project Engineer in Commercial CONSTRUCTION1-3 years expereince in the commercial construction industry as a Project Engineer/Field EngineerFamiliarity with construction industry computer software Key Responsibilities of a Assistant Project Manager Include:As Assistant Project Manager, you share responsibility for project success, including safety, schedule, profitability, and quality, and customer satisfaction.Participate in many of aspects of the business development process, including client contacts, relationships, proposals, presentations, and negotiations for selected projects.Helps to maintain professional working relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.Champions the orderly, timely transition of projects from the estimating phase to the field. This transition shall include project review meetings, which encompass a review of contract requirements, general conditions, schedules, budgets, subcontracts, and purchase order agreements.Coordinates with the Project Superintendent and Project Manager the means and methods required for the successful and profitable execution of the work.Is an integral part of the procurement schedule.
