Overview As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be an essential part of the team. You will assist Project Managers with system integration projects by coordinating submittals, manpower and staffing, resources, change orders, project tracking, and documentation. Typical Day at Prime Controls Assist in developing project proposals by determining time frames, costs, procedures, staffing requirements, and allocation of available resources to various phases of the project. Work with the documentation group to ensure all required submittal documents are ready and organized. Purchase parts, supplies, and technical instrumentation per specifications and system design. Act as liaison for inter?department coordination and day?to?day operations for assigned projects. Maintain project documentation and update with change orders. Participate in project review meetings with contractors and customer representatives. Review change orders and update pricing to maintain profitability and budget constraints. Assist with preparation of project reports for management, general contractors, customers, engineering firms, and others. Maintain Job Hazard Analysis. Fill in for Project Manager when needed for meetings. What You Will Bring The Basic Bachelors degree in architecture, construction management, project management, engineering, or related field. 3 years full?time experience in architecture, pre?construction, construction, or a related field. Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to apply technological solutions to planning or implementation assignments. The Preferred Experience with industry tools and references such as estimating (RS Means or similar) and scheduling tools (MS Project or similar), CAD or BIM based programs, visual communication software (Bluebeam or similar), project tracking and document control software (Procore or similar). Strong understanding of programming, design, and construction principles. Previous experience in industrial automation. Experience with team and customer meetings generating RFIs, action item lists, and meeting minutes. Experience utilizing customer portals for project documentation such as Procore. Controls system knowledge of Rockwell hardware and AVEVA software. Datacenter BMS and EPMS equipment knowledge. Experience working with electrical installation contractors. Generally, roles at Prime Controls may involve moderate noise, occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, and, depending on the role, work at heights or around airborne particles and electrical components. Physical activities may include standing, walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as well as use of hands, arms, and voice communication. Some roles may require lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements may include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
