The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Muskegon seeking Production Managers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and direct daily production operations to meet output targets. Manage and optimize production schedules, resource allocation, and workflow. Implement and enforce quality control standards and continuous improvement initiatives. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate production staff, fostering a high-performance culture. Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Monitor production costs and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Collaborate with supply chain, maintenance, and quality departments to resolve issues and improve processes. Recommended Qualifications Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on motivation and development. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean methodologies, and quality control systems (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO). Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities. Demonstrated ability to optimize production schedules, manage budgets, and achieve operational targets. Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards relevant to manufacturing.
