Job OverviewThe Account Executive is responsible for driving sales and sales strategies for new and existing customers in the retail and community pharmacy market. You will prospect, build, and nurture strong relationships with pharmacy owners and pharmacists to position Parata solutions effectively, driving sales growth and exceeding quota within your assigned territory. You are responsible for improving customer value and happiness by aligning complex product solutions and services with key customer initiatives.RequirementsHunter mentality: Proactively seek out and develop new customer relationships through aggressive prospecting and lead generation campaignsAccount strategy development:Develop and implement strategic account plans to improve growth and profitability within assigned territorySales process focused: Execute a consultative sales approach, guiding prospects through each stage of the buying processCustomer Relationship Development: Own the customer relationship and build strategic partnerships as a trusted advisorCustomer engagements: Participate in tradeshows and customer-facing events to support business development and sales initiativesPerformance: Consistently meet established monthly and annual sales quotasEducationBachelor's degree required.Experience5-10 years successful medical equipment sales (capital is preferred)Experience working with privately owned businesses or healthcare practices preferredStrong prospecting skills with a hunter mentality requiredStrong negotiation and contract negotiating skillsAbility to effectively manage the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation and closeSolid understanding of the pharmacy industry preferredOther RequirementsTravel up to 75%Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standardsTerritoryAssigned territory will include parts of NY, CT, MA, RI, VT, NH, and ME.At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
