Job Description As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver in SAINT HELENA, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a renowned educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining approachable and visible to students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $23.60 / Hour Job Schedule:DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.Communicate and collaborate with staff, students, and visitors to support a secure environment.Document incidents and daily activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.Assist with access control and visitor management as directed by site procedures.Support emergency response activities and provide guidance to individuals as needed during incidents.Minimum Requirements:A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.CPR certification is preferred.A guard card and/or license is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
