Job Description As a Security Officer - Academic Patrol in NAPA, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.65 / Hour Job Schedule:DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial and Health Benefits: Enjoy access to a retirement savings plan, plus medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&D, and disability insurance.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergency situations as needed.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.Monitor for unusual activity and report any concerns according to established protocols.Communicate with staff, visitors, and/or students to provide information and assistance as needed.Document observations and incidents clearly and accurately in daily reports.Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location personnel to support a secure environment.Minimum Requirements:At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.Must be at least 21 years of age.CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.A valid guard card or license is preferred.Customer service experience is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
