We have acquired or developed approximately 11 gigawatts of contracted capacity across a portfolio of over 70 renewable energy projects in 24 states.About the roleDESRI is seeking a talented, intellectually curious, and highly motivated law student, with a desire to learn and contribute, to join its summer internship program as a summer associate in the renewable energy space. The internship is an opportunity to become part of a small, inclusive, highly skilled team responsible for supporting DESRI’s portfolio of wind and solar energy projects, in a fast-paced environment that values collaboration, thoughtful problem solving, and attention to detail. This DESRI internship will be in our New York or Denver Offices.What you'll doThe internship experience will offer you the option to spend your summer working closely with DESRI’s in-house legal team and collaborating with a diverse set of colleagues across the firm on legal matters related to DESRI’s portfolio of solar, battery storage, and wind projects. Throughout the summer, you’ll work closely with various members of the DESRI team who will support your professional development. You’ll be able to strengthen your skills – and develop new ones – via robust learning opportunities customized for interns. QualificationsCandidates should be first- or second-year law students and have an impressive record of academic and / or professional achievement.We’re interested in highly analytical, accomplished students. Intellectually curious individuals with well-developed written and verbal communication abilities, analytical acumen, and the ability to collaborate well with a small team, exceptional organizational skills when working on multiple projects, and a high level of overall motivation are all vital to this role.Coursework in energy, project finance, M&A, real estate, or other related areas is a plus but is not required.PI9ff22569567e-30511-38454534
