The Part-Time Accounting Clerk will be responsible for managing and processing invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments to our vendors, accurately recording incoming payments from bakery and catering customers and maintaining financial records. This role offers the flexibility of remote working, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking work-life balance. - Provides accounting support to the Company's "Baker's Crust Artisan Kitchen" restaurants, "Quemar Wood-fired Cocina", and affiliate "The Neighborhood Harvest" home delivery business, - Reviews and verifies vendor invoices and check requests, - Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system (Restaurant 365), - Prepare check runs and upload positive pay files to banking platform, - Apply vendor ACH payments to corresponding invoices, - Track expenses and process expense reports, - Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, - Files monthly sales taxes and reports monthly store sales to landlords, - Reconcile accounts payable transactions, - Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date, - Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries, - Ensures payables supporting documentation is saved and retained appropriately, - Reviews and approves daily sales summaries (DSS), - Reconciles catering receivables to incoming payments from catering customers and third-party delivery companies (DoorDash), - Monitors bakery receivables for unbilled amounts and follows up with bakery on any missing customer billings,  - Ensures collection of bakery and catering receivables, - Ensures receivables supporting documentation is saved and retained appropriately, - Assist with month-end closing and provide supporting documentation for audits. Requirements for this position include:  - High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred - Minimum of 1-2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Excellent interpersonal ("soft") skills  - Experience with Toast POS, Restaurant365 and ADP preferred  - Must have reliable transportation to and from the Company's office in Virginia Beach  - Must be willing to submit to credit and criminal background screening  A successful member of the Baker's Crust Artisan Kitchen team is one who uses their critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems.
