Description Job Summary:The Quality Technician will ensure incoming parts and assemblies meet quality standards. They will conduct outgoing quality inspections to ensure systems and detection instruments operate per established procedures (routers, build procedures, control plans, etc.). This position is responsible for working with quality, engineering and production personnel to develop and resolve testing activities.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Inspect and test in-process and completed products and or sub-assemblies according to quality and safety standardsDevelop and maintain quality documentation and inspection reportsCollaborate with quality, engineering, and production personnel to resolve quality-related issuesPerform incoming inspection and/or testing on vendor-supplied partsEvaluate and process non-conforming materialEnsure quality related tool calibrations/maintenance are on schedule and records maintained in accordance with proceduresUpdate quality-related databases, spreadsheets, etc.Assist other departments as needed.Job Qualifications: 3+ years of experience building, inspecting, and /or testing electronic assemblies preferredHigh School Diploma/GED requiredProven experience working with surface-mount components, printed circuit boards from engineering drawings, cable assemblies and harnesses from engineering drawings, vacuum lines and tubing, complex electro-mechanical instruments preferredAble to use measurement/inspection tools (calipers, multi-meters, micrometers, microscopes, etc.)Ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawingsComfortable and knowledgeable with computers and software, including Microsoft Office SuiteMRP software experience beneficial, SAP experience a plusPrior experience working in ISO-9001 or AS-9100 quality management system preferredAble to work independently with little supervisionStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environmentApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.Teledyne and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
