As an Engineer,ing Designer, you may also conduct permitting research, due diligence, write specifications and reports. ResponsibilitiesPreparing construction drawings, plans, and project specificationsPreparing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, grading plans, street improvements, utilities and specificationsEnsuring technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various plans, reports and design documentsIdentifying problems, evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions to peers and managementCollaborating with peers, and management, and other Disciplines as necessary to complete workAssisting in performing basic stormwater calculations and reportingPlotting and assembling civil engineering plans and reportsAssisting other departments with engineering and technical support needsPerforming other related duties as assigned QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringIdeally will possess 2-5 years of related site/civil land development experience or possess relevant work experienceEIT and/or PE preferredKnowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations (NJ)Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading and other site development related designsDemonstrated Civil 3D skills with the ability to design site layouts concept through completionAbility to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilitiesAbility to work independently, as well as, in a team environmentAbility to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactionsCompensation: $78,960 to $94,500 per year (depending on qualifications) What We OfferAt Colliers Engineering & Design, our people are our most important resource.
