The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Holt seeking Automation Engineers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and robotics. Program and configure control systems (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Fanuc) for manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with automated machinery and control systems. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance and uptime. Conduct root cause analysis for automation failures and implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including electrical schematics and control narratives. Ensure all automation systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality in automated operations. Recommended Qualifications Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development. Experience with industrial robotics integration, programming, and maintenance (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB). Solid understanding of industrial control systems, instrumentation, and network protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP). Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex automation system issues in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field. Bonus Qualifications Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, Universal Robots). Proficiency with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence). Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and data integration from OT to IT. Knowledge of functional safety standards and implementation (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 62061).
