Controls Engineer | Holt, MI Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for automation, PLC programming, and process control? Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement industrial control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA. Program, troubleshoot, and optimize automated machinery and robotic systems. Provide technical support and diagnose complex automation and electrical issues on the production floor. Lead and manage controls-related projects from conception to commissioning, ensuring scope, budget, and timeline adherence. Develop and maintain accurate control system documentation, schematics, and standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, maintenance, IT) to improve process efficiency and reliability. Ensure all control systems comply with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, machine guarding) and industry best practices. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development. Strong understanding and experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet). Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot electrical control systems and schematics. Experience with industrial robotics, motion control, or vision systems. Proven ability to manage and execute automation projects from concept to commissioning. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and relevant safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E). Bonus Qualifications Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB). Proficiency in industrial data acquisition and database management (e.g., SQL, historian systems). Familiarity with machine vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for inspection and guidance. Understanding of OT network architecture and cybersecurity principles.
